This one started off as: 'we need a new tune, let's write a tune. Ed, play something'. So I played Ed's Jam in a different key pretty much. No! Not that! Something else! A different rhythm came about. We need a bridge, so I used the chords from a drum and bass tune I'd made on my computer at home. It grew from there.
Stunning, ragged-edged funk and soul—if you didn’t know this was new, it could be easily mistaken for a rarities comp from the late ’60s. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 20, 2017
This was the first album I ever listened to as a teenager, and it remains as impressive as I remember it being. I really can't recommend it enough, especially if you're into experimental spacey jazzy hip hop. asherarataki
